Our Parish

Stop by and visit us!

Welcome! St. George Serbian Orthodox Church is part of the Diocese of Eastern America, under the spiritual leadership of His Grace Bishop Irinej. We are pan-Orthodox. This means our membership includes many who were born into the Faith, as well as many converts. Our services are a mixture of Slavonic and English.

In addition to weekly liturgies, we offer many other services – see our calendar for details.

All are welcome to visit and attend any of our services! Please join us and experience God’s one holy, catholic, and apostolic Church!

If you have questions about our church, you can reach out to Father Dejan, our parish priest. He will be more than happy to talk with you!

Church School

est. 1949

Since 1949, St. George’s has strived to foster the religious education of the children in our parish and to promote Orthodox living in today’s modern society, by teaching our children how to keep their hearts close to God.

These classes teach our children about fasting, prayer, epistle/gospel readings, Bible lessons, Saints, and a variety of traditions. Additionally, boys (so long as they are baptized Orthodox) serve in the altar, while girls find other ways to help in the church (i.e. decorating, cleaning).

Sunday School meets every Sunday morning at 10:00 a.m. Join us!

Dr. Laza Kostich Choir S.S.S.

est. 1936

Named for an iconic Serbian poet and composer, the Dr. Laza Kostich Choir Serbian Singing Society performs all over the United States and Canada at concerts and festivals, as well as on broadcasts and live television.

Despite not formally being a church choir, the Dr. Laza Kostich Choir sings responses during Divine Liturgy and other services in our church. The choir is a source of inspiration of love toward everything that is Serbian and traditional, and we are always looking for new members!

Circle of Serbian Sisters

est. 1930

The Circle of Serbian Sisters (Srpska Vila) organizes various initiatives and social events (i.e. dances, picnics, banquets) to finance improvements to the Church and our community. The Circle also provides for the needs of the Parish Home (where the priest and his family live) and give of themselves in time and energy in Church-related activities.
